The annual X Mas concert was organized in the spirit of togetherness and yuletide, the highlight being the musical and colourful presentation "The Joy of Christmas" by the Special Needs students of the school. Traditional Christmas Carols by the school choir rendered the air festive enthralling the audience with the 'Jingle Bells' and 'Oh Holy Night'
The Annual Winter Carnival of Springdales School, Dhaula Kuan was held on Sunday, the 16th December, 2012. The school grounds pulsated with lively music and enthusiastic crowds. It had something in store for everybody, be it children or adults. Gaily decorated stalls welcomed the visitors.
The stall put up by the students of the Environmental Club showcasing their artistic and creative abilities through a variety of eco-friendly product was indeed a crowd puller. The real show stealer was the fashion show put up by the students of the senior school.
Debating Matters (British Council)
Our Debating Team is the proud winner of North Zone Regional Finals of the "Debating Matters" Contest organized by the British Council. The students engaged with some of the most taxing issues that the society faces today in a very rigorous and balanced manner.
Abhay Bhalla and Rajdeep Das Gupta were adjudged the Best Interjectors and Arjun Malik received a Special Commendation for his ability to communicate ideas and arguments confidently to a public audience. The team will be contesting the National Finals on 17th January, 2013.
Inter-School Drama Festival organized by British Council
It was a matter of great honour that our school theatre team had the distinct honour of participating in the Grand Finals of the "Annual Inter-School Drama Competition", a national event hosted by the British Council in partnership with Manchester Metropolitan University, U.K. 180 schools took part in this year’s competition out of which only 45 schools qualified for the Semi-Finals if their script was approved by the Jury. Our school was one of the few schools.
Our team's performance was highly appreciated by the jury and Mili Soni, a student of class X won Rs. 10,000/- included a trophy and an all paid one week Theatre Workshop to be held in London, U.K. in July 2013.
