The Jaipur Marathon was a huge success for us. We were a strength of 114 children, with 12 teachers, 5 drivers , 2 conductors and 1 Principal. We started from school , in the dark --I fell headlong , near the driveway , as it is pitch dark there and bruised my hands, broke my watch --but never mind We were at the spot at 6-30 and went straight for the kill. Our school was at the first spot , looked pure and ethereal in white [ everyone else was in a motley of colours ] so much so , people took photos of our squad.!!! When we moved towards the VIP dais , where the actor FARHAN AKHTAR was standing , he waved to our squad , when our name was announced. We walked 2 kms. and the 32 of the children with 3 escort teachers ran --- some 7 , 10, and even 18 kms. Then we all came back home, --battered in muscle pain , but shining in joy of having taken part in such a cheerful event. Thank you Ma'm for giving us this opportunity.
